Paralegal Studies

Paralegal’s work under a lawyer, and can’t practice law by themselves. They can conduct legal investigations, client interviews, assist lawyers in court, and compose legal documents. There is a two year associates degree which, after completed, allows you to take the National Association of Legal Assistants Exam (NALA). If you would like better opportunities for jobs, promotions, and higher salaries, there is also a bachelors degree.

Due to employers wanting lower costs, and employment growth, Paralegal’s are becoming much more important. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, from 2008 – 2018 there is a projected 74,100 increase in paralegal jobs, or a 28 percent increase.
